Radiological / Laboratory Technologist

Position Summary:

The Richland Hospital currently has a position available for a Radiology/Laboratory Technologist to work at the Hospital and the Rural Health Clinics.  This position is a full-time benefit eligible position that will work a variable schedule. 

The Registered Radiologic Technologist performs assigned duties in the field of radiography to determine the presence of disease or injury by performing radiographs in the Rural Health Clinics and Computed Tomography, Fluoroscopy, C-Arm at The Richland Hospital.  This position will also performs basic laboratory services essential to the immediate diagnosis and treatment of the patient when staffing at the Rural Health Clinics.  The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing an age-specific assessment prior to and during the radiology procedure, preparing the room and the patient for the procedure, and recording the images. The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic studies, EKG’s, Computed Tomography, Fluoroscopy, C-Arm as well as, clerical duties.  The Technologist utilizes all radiology equipment accurately, safely, and evaluates images for quality.  The Radiologic Technologist maintains involvement with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and radiation safety and protection programs.  In addition to the radiological procedures this position is responsible for collecting, receiving and performing laboratory tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Microbiology and Serology at the Rural Health Clinics.  

 

Qualifications: 

Education Required:

  • Graduate of an AMA – Approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Current Registration with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Current Registration with the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, as a Radiologic Technologist

Credential/Licensure Required:

  • Current and continue to Maintain Registration with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

 

Certification Required:

  • Current and continue to Maintain Registration with the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, as a Radiologic Technologist
  • CPR
